Sure, flowery fabrics are pretty and sweet, but I wanted to amp up the sexiness and take florals to a place they rarely go: Sexytown!
Fashion is art. That’s an irrefutable fact. It’s also commerce. But Fashion is Art. What is the origin of art? I like to think of it as experience, environment and imagination. It’s individual. It can be cultural, but it doesn’t have to be. And in this melting pot of a world, culture, though identity defining of course, is diluting.
Um, wow! I haven’t seen a carpet this great since the Met Gala! So much great fashion! So much gilr power emanating from the carpet! While Zoe Saldana takes a very strong lead as my favorite, there are so many great looks to oogle over.
Happy new year, glamourbabies. Who doesn’t love the fresh start of a new year? If you’re thinking of making any resolutions, I would like to kindly request that you consider stopping or starting the following to make sure your 2014 is as fashionably fabulous as possible!
Coachella has come. These multiple weekends serve as an excuse to discover not only amazing music but your inner fashion desert-dwelling freak. The stupid fun getaway served as inspiration for my latest collaboration with Describe the Fauna with model Elizabeth. Perhaps she’ll influence your festival fashion?
What to do when the model doesn’t show up for your test shoot? Turn into a model, apparently! Phenom LA-based world-traveled photographers, DESCRIBE THE FAUNA, snapped these shots of gorg girl-bud Ashleigh and me on a rainy Sunday afternoon, deep in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains. Thrown together last minute, we pranced around the mud and wet grass, avoided hungry coyotes, and had a blast playing dress up. Enjoy our fun collab!
Couture came and went and left a trail of sequins and flower petals for Fall 2012. Seriously, if it wasn’t sequined, it was floral, tulle, and sheer chiffon, and if it wasn’t those, it was draped in a cloak or luxe velvet. Good thing I love all those things.
