6 Summer Swimsuits For All Bodies!

It’s summer! You know what that means – swimsuit season. For any woman, the quest of finding the perfect suit is one of blood, sweat, and tears (OKAY, maybe not that dramatic, but it is pretty tough). Bulging, bunching, sticking, wedging: to put it simply, are not qualities you want in a trusty swimsuit. I mean, it’s hard enough stepping out in so little clothing to begin with, certainly when that so little clothing is riding up in places it shouldn’t. At the end of the day, swimsuits, like all bodies, are not created equal. Luckily for you guys, we’ve got just the right slew of hot summer swimwear for every shape and size.

curlee-bikini-eco-swimwearYou may remember meeting Mallory Curlee of Curlee Bikini on my YouTubes last summer where she shared INCREDIBLE TIPS TO FIND THE PERFECT FITTING SWIMSUIT. Mind blowing, really! For the same price (if not less!) as a swimsuit you’d buy anywhere else, Mallory will customize yours so you will never ever ever have any pinching, grabbing, adjusting, wedgies, etc. Plus, all her fabrics are vintage so you’re upcycling for the good of the planet! Worth every pretty penny. Get in touch with Mallory and order a swimsuit by clicking here.

seafolly-tribal-print-one-piece-swimsuit Strapless sweetheart’s aren’t just the perfect-for-everyone-dress, they’re just as universal for swim suits. This one-piece from Australian-based Seafolly, is absolutely di-vine! You can get the suit at asos.com ($169). The exotic tribal print really plays up that fun summer vibe, and is perfect for sipping drinks by the pool. Plus, the padding and pleating in the top adds a bit of extra va-va-voom just in case you’re lacking in the chest department. Just watch out if you have a longer torso – strapless won’t be for you!

Image: oldnavy.gap.com Old Navy is my go-to for adventure swimsuits. As much as I love sitting poolside once in a while, I’m more that hike to the hot springs, jump in the lake, slide down slippery rocks adventure person, and will not perform those activities in swimwear that is super expensive.  Old Navy always has on-trend solids, and I never feel bad about destroying my purchases. Mix and match the tops and bottoms that are right for you, but I’m loving this beautiful dark teal halter and wide strapped bikini bottoms. Oh, and you’ll get a bang for your buck, because each piece only costs $19!

we-are-handsome-one-piece-mustang-print-swimsuit Quirky and cool, We are Handsome‘s printed swimwear in an obvious smash hit. This mustang print one-piece is totally putting off that hipster vibe, and any boho beauty wouldn’t be seen without it this summer. It’s definitely an eye-catcher, and the deep v-neck shows off some cleavage.  You can get this cute suit at Everything But Water for $270.

*QUICK TIP:* Have pale skin? Add white or light ivory to a print and it will make your skin look a smidegen darker and healthier. Avoid fucshia, magenta, violet, or any other tones that are remniscent of your veins! I also LOVE adding shimmer lotion to my SPF.

gottex-geometric-three-piece-swimsuitGottex’s geometric three-piece suit is sure to stand out on the shore. The splashes of red, blue and purple make it a one-of-a-kind piece to soak up the sun, and the black and white triangular patterns really make the swimsuit pop! I’m totally digging the choice of two bottoms, one high-waisted and one bikini-style, which make the suit versatile for any and every body. You can get the geo-print suit at Everything But Water, and it’s definitely a steal at only $188.

la-blanca-blackwhite-french-dot-halter-one-piece-swimsuitLast but not least, this adorable polka-dot suit from La Blanca ($117) is made for the pin-up girl at heart. The vintage-y looking print is absolutely ah-dorable, and the ruched area around the sides really brings in the waist, which is always a plus! It also totally shows off your curves, and creates them if you don’t have any. #perfection!

Aaaaaaand, not to humble brag, but I was so so so thrilled to get to share some of my favorite pieces from Everything But Water on KTLA’s Morning New segment with Jessica Hughes! Did you catch it? If not, watch it here!
