What I’m Wearing: Fluff and Asymmetry: A Perfect Valentine’s Day Pairing
This Valentine’s Day, I urge you to step outside the box and try one of Spring’s biggest trends: a contrast of color and a contrast of texture.
When I whipped out this fluffy, fuzzy ivory tee from Topshop (now on sale for only $30), my hubby raised an eyebrow. But once he saw me in it, paired with a contrasting sleek satin skort, also Topshop ($80), he saw its chicness and totally dug it.
I have more Valentine’s Day styling ideas on my YouTube channel, from girly and monochrome, tomboyish, to super girly, to even a bad ass anti-Valentine’s Day outfit. Watch it here! Or, scroll to the bottom of this post!
I added elbow length leather gloves from Target to winterize it a bit, though I can certainly see this look with a big fur jacket over it (again, playing with texture).
I also paired this maroon skirt with a gorgeous hot pink sweater from J.Crew. And it’s equally amazing with a printed top. Both ideas can be found on in my latest collaboration with DreamMining on YouTube.
