What I’m Wearing: Party Dress With Flats Because Obviously (Plus a Pop of Radiant Orchid)
I’m not over collars yet. In fact, I think they’re hotter than ever. Whether it’s your favorite blouse buttoned all the way up, or a fabulous contrast like this Maje dress($415) I found a few weeks ago, I’m crazy for collars.
Every collar calls for a pointy toe, but after a full day of walking in NYC, my feet just couldn’t handle a heel. So I popped on my favorite black d’Orsay flats (these are Chinese Laundry, but there are similar d’Orsay flats here) becasue, well, obviously!! And it turned out so cute!
I’m confident, that as long as your black flats are in good shape and sans scuffs (here’s a quick way to get scuffs and stink out of your favorite leather goods, btw), you can totally pull off flats with your pretty party dresses, too!
I added a fabulous Swarovski and python cuff Ted Rossi gifted me years ago (but there’s a similar one here).
But what good is black and white without a pop of color? I added the essential statement maker in the form of a violet (or maybe I should call it Radiant Orchid?) lipstick from Bodyography (color: Lip Sink, $19). All photos by Jorge Aguilar.
