About Me

Kimmy specializes in red carpet, editorial, commercial, and advertisement styling, and image consulting for both men and women. With an ability to be flexible with her clients varying bodies and bringing out their very best, she is integral to creating buzz with fashion forward and avante garde looks, garnering numerous “Best Dressed” accolades. She is passionate about spreading good taste, great style, and incomparable fit to celebrities and the world.

When she’s not styling starlets, actors, musicians, brides-to-be, and industry VIPs, Kimmy contributes beauty and fashion expertise to her own site and serves as Fashion Editor for BELLOMAG.com, an international digital luxury magazine.

Kimmy is, by nature, a collaborator with strong vision and excellent taste. Her own style tends to be Parisian-driven with masculine details and cuts and girlish fabrics and silhouettes and she easily adapts to the needs of the brands, photographers, celebrities, and designers she works with. She currently runs her business out of her private office space in the Hollywood Hills.

Growing up behind the Hollywood Hills didn’t keep Kimmy from being in the spotlight. At 16, Kimmy was assisting on styling magazine spreads on the beaches of Malibu and in 90210’s most famous hotels for Children’s Business Magazine. While studying Creative Writing at the University of Southern California, Kimmy interned for Women’s Wear Daily and W Magazine gaining access to the fashion, beauty, and entertainment big leagues. From there, she launched her freelance career as a writer, stylist, merchandiser, and on-air hostess specializing in fashion, beauty, entertainment, and event reporting (editorial, TV and video). She has been invited to appear on newscasts (LXTV.com, KTLA News, Good Day LA) as a trend analyst and Women’s Wear Daily, Ology.com, NewBeauty Magazine, Real Simple, Simply Stylist, Styloot.com, and Women’s Health have called on her for her style expertise.

Kimmy also spent time in New York City as an Senior Editor, focused on fashion, beauty and lifestyle for teens for Alloy.com, gURL.com and Teen.com.
In September 2011, Kimmy Erin launched her own YouTube Channel, MissKimmyErin, in conjunction with Maker Studios where she shares weekly fashion tips and answers users questions. She has been featured on The Style Network and has formed partnerships with DSW. She is now with Driver Digital as their first fashion expert.

Closet Clean Out Tips For Seasonal Transitions

There’s nothing like a change in season to spark a closet clean out! I wanted to perhaps share this tip that I share with my clients about clever ways to organize your closet. If you’re super into fashion, this might not work for you. Fashion people (like me) need as much of their palette out and ready to mix for daily (or multiple times daily) ensembles. Even in winter, we might pop on a summer floral! But my belief on how to organize your wardrobe is the same as getting over an ex: out of sight, out of mind.

I Tried Food Styling, Thanks to TheChampagneMoon.com!

Oh no! Am I turning into a food stylist? This is two food-related posts in a row! But I can’t help it – I love food and I love cooking! But I think what it comes down to? I love creating. It’s not too unlike styling where you gather a bunch of ingredients and make the best possible thing you can with them that resembles art. And unlike styling, it is something that an incredibly broad audience can enjoy. So when my friend Ashleigh Haney (you may remember her from our romp in Corbin Canyon) invited me to sous chef her very first summer soiree for her newly launched blog, The Champagne Moon, I was elated.

Favorite Recipe: Super Skinny Kale, Quinoa and Avocado Salad

I don’t usually post recipes but I love cooking, particularly healthy, vegetarian dishes. And this vegan (optional) salad is no joke. I first stumbled upon this dressing and a version of this delicious, almost addictive salad at a friend’s house and have since doctored it up a little to get some insane health benefits out of it.
